ABOUT SOAP
A little education can go a long way, especially when it comes to soap.
We live in the age of information. The more we learn the better choices
we can make for ourselves. Whether it's what we put in our mouth or
what we put on our skin, we want to know what's in it, we want to know
it's good for us and we want less exposure to chemicals. Bottom line,
we do care about our bodies and we want them to be as healthy as they
can be. It's that simple.
From the first day that I learned about what soap is and
isn't, I began a quest to find out all I could about the subject of
soap. And, there is a lot out there to find, thanks to the internet.
But, of all the information I came across, the most surprising of all
was that soap is not regulated by anyone. As long as you are not
claiming to alter the make-up of the skin or cure a skin disorder of
some kind, you can put whatever you want in the soap and not list the
ingredients. Is that surprising to you? Well, it sure was to me. I just
assumed (and you know what they say about assume - usually you make an
"ass" of "u" and "me") any product sold to consumers as a consumable
good, was regulated either by the FDA, the CSPS or someone. So what's
in your soap?
I have written a few articles that I hope you find
interesting. I have also included some informative sites for you to
check out for yourself.
Like I said in the beginning, a little education can go a long
way. I just want you to be informed so you can make the best soap
choice for you!
